Q: Is there a law in new York State that requires a 5/6 yr old to be enrolled in Kindergarten assuming that child will not be home schooled?
A: David's Answer: To my knowledge, Kindergarten is not mandatory in areas outside of NYC (though I believe a couple of upstate cities, maybe Rochester and/or Albany, have just recently made it mandatory).
